how to reserve a puppy
- Love Belgian Malinois wants to ensure the health, welfare and success of our puppies, and make sure that they are truly in their forever homes. Prospective owners must complete the steps below to be placed on our reservation list.

Application
Prospective owners must complete our puppy application. Many of the questions on the application are optional, but the more information we have, the better we can do to help pick your puppy! In addition, the questions are there to help you determine if your Belgian Malinois will get the time, training and attention it needs to thrive in your home. Once your application is approved, you will receive an email and move to the next step.

Deposit
Pay your deposit using one of the payment methods available. You have 5 days from the date of your acceptance email to pay your deposit. Deposits are non-refundable unless the sex you requested is unavailable and you do not want a puppy of another sex.

Pre-Puppy Training
All puppies purchased from Love Belgian Malinois requires the buyer to purchase Ivan Balabanov's "Ultimate Guide to Raising Great Puppies." You must use this affiliate link to purchase the training. For more information, please see our Training page. Once your application acceptance is received, you have 14 days to complete your Pre-Puppy Training.
Failure to meet any deadlines within the specified timeframe will forfeit your deposit and you wil be removed from our list.

1Full or Limited AKC® Registration & Forms
Our puppies come with AKC® registration papers and official documentation of thier pedigree. -
2Deworming, First Vaccinations, Records & Health Check
Before leaving our care, all puppies are examined by our licensed veterinarian to ensure they are in prime health. Each puppy is dewormed and receives their initial vaccinations, setting the foundation for a healthy life. -
3Microchip
Each puppy is microchipped for added security and identification in case it is lost or stolen. The microchip registration form can make identification easy. This is also used as a double check by veterinarians when undergoing official testing requirements. -
4Starter Kit
Each puppy comes with a collar and lead, as well as a small amount of food and some goodies for transition to their new home. -
Your Promise & Commitment
You are our trusted partner in the training, health and well-being of a Love Belgian Malinois dog. You promise to raise, train and maintain care for the dog for its entire life. If at any time in the dog's life you decide to rehome or part with the dog in any way, you agree to contact Love Belgain Malinois prior to the dog leaving your custody. By submitting your application, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

Steel is now 78 lbs. His protection trainer says she's never worked with a Mal with this good a disposition and drive....no skittishness, or twitchiness at all. At 10 months he's 78 lbs and still growing. Love this boy, and love what he does.
Here in wilds of the Idaho mountains, threats are not just theoretical. We have a fair amount of dangerous game in close proximity. We've been training Steel for these and the two-leg threats since he was 13 weeks old. He has become rock solid, and amazingly focused and controlled. While human threats are rare, probably due to his appearance and clear discipline, he has engaged with other local threats...mostly turkeys and deer, but once a large mountain lion, which quickly retreated. At the same time, he is the friendliest boy you could ask for (until told not to be), and especially loves children. We train continually and daily, but a big portion of the credit is to you, Carrie, and to the genetic contributions of Zeke and Shadow. Our gratitude is boundless. THANK YOU.

Yep, its been an adventure with Odin in our lives. I completely understand why people give these dogs up for adoption because oh wow, is a maligator challenging or what?! Regardless, Odin is doing great with all of his training and integration into our family. He is already off leash and is well on his way to learning his commands. He has a great personality, is eager to please and he definitely does not like to be left alone. As for what more you could have done when we received Odin, I don't know if I could ask for more. Communication was great and the package you sent us home with was definitely sufficient and appreciated. It was clear to us you care about your dogs which resulted in us having a great new addition to our family. We are more than happy with Odin and thank you for him in our lives.

Mako is 67# and about 26” tall at shoulders. Honestly owning a maligator has been fantastic - the drive, the loyalty, the smarts, even the stubbornness has been great. Loves swimming and loves ball. I’m excited to see how much he fills out I hear they fill out up to about 2.

Lainey weighs in at 28lbs as of October 4th [2025], she is growing daily. I get a lot of compliments regarding her looks and especially her temperament, her intelligence is beyond what I have expected, she has been excelling at her obedience class and her scent work, she will be starting her first
man-tracking class on the 25th of this month. We consistently take her to all kinds of public events to include many restaurants and are always asked if she a service dog due to her behavior!
